"A Beautiful Day 2 Die" Results:
Fresh off the carnage from July's deathmatch tournament, On Point Wrestling returned to a rowdy, packed house at the OTW Arena & delivered the best professional wrestling you'll see in southern New Jersey! For those of you not in attendance, here are the results: Unbreakable Andy defeated Drake Chambers - Chambers returned to OPW to make a statement. While he did not emerge victorious, Chambers took the unbreakable athlete to his limit. The impressive performance earned a standing ovation from the OPW faithful as well as a reward which was announced later in the evening. Fantastic 4 Way: Alex Payne defeated Devon Moore, Conor Claxton, & Pelle Primeau - With the bar set during the opening contest, all 4 men found a way to raise it! High flying, hard hitting insanity that couldn't be contained within the ring as the participants found themselves on the floor & in the 2nd row! Alex Payne's momentum continued as he picked up the win after a brainbuster to Claxton. Gran Akuma defeated Vinny Marseglia - These two kept their war confined to the mat. Marseglia came to On Point with the intention of being the first man to hand the undefeated Akuma his first loss. After putting on a technical wrestling clinic, the Master of the Mat tapped out the debuting Marseglia. Falls Count Anywhere: The Weapons of Mass Destruction defeated Jimmy Lyon & Marc Angel - The building couldn't contain the bad blood between these 2 teams as their brawl found them in the parking lot...even using the parked vehicles as weapons! BBQ forks, chairs, wooden boards...everything just short of the kitchen sink was used as both teams sought to end this nearly year long feud. The end came when the Bulldozer delivered a thunderous Death Valley Driver onto Lyon through a board onto a pile of steel chairs. Open Challenge: Xavier Cross w/Loudy defeated Clay Drasher & Jimmy Lloyd - The Flamboyant One's bravado was on full display once again with another open challenge to anyone in wrestling. Clay Drasher emerged from the locker room ready to do battle. Before the bell could ring, both men were joined by Jimmy Lloyd, turning this singles match into a three way dance. Lots of back & forth action which say the rookie Lloyd almost score the upset. The wily veteran, Cross, however emerged victorious. Kyle the Beast defeated "2 Hot" Steve Scott - After impressing both management & the fans alike in July as part of a Fantastic 4 Way, OPW officials decided to place the Beast & the Selfie Superstar in a singles match with each other. High flying & quickness was almost enough to overpower the Beast in what could be described as a David vs. Goliath tale...but Scott found himself tapping out to a devastating single leg crab that left many wondering how a human being could bend in such a fashion. Tony Deppen defeated Archadia - Two of the best high flyers in the game today faced off for the first time as Archadia made his debut against 1 of the most popular stars on the OPW roster. Bragging rights were on the line as both men attempted to outdo each other with impressive offenses. Despite some very close pins by Archadia, Tony Deppen found his hand raised in victory. OPW Championship: Joey Janela (C) defeated Drew Blood - A year plus long quest finally came to fruition as Drew Blood finally received his 1st shot at OPW's top prize. With the champion coming off of an injury that had him sidelined most of the summer, there were many who wondered if Janela was ready for the veteran. Any doubt was quickly silenced as both men took each other past their limits for the right to be called Champion. As much as Blood wanted the gold, Janela wanted it that much more as he tapped out one of OPW's founding fathers. After the match, a frustrated Blood told Janela to carry himself like a champion & respect himself before finally shaking his hand. 1st Time Ever Deathmatch: MASADA defeated Lowlife Louie - It was a match that had independent wrestling fans everywhere buzzing since it was announced in July. For the first time ever, Lowlife Louie & MASADA would face each other. After a mutual show of respect before the opening bell, it was game on. Two of the toughest men going today took their fight into the crowd, destroyed the concession stand, & found themselves outside of the OTW Arena before finally combating each other in the ring. A shot to the head from a fan sliced Louie's head open. Seizing the opportunity, the Ultraviolent Beast pulled out his trademark BBQ skewers & jammed them into the open wound. The crowd looked on in horror as the referee made the count to 10 & awarded the contest to Masada via a TKO. After the match, the International Deathmatch Superstar paid his respects to Louie in front of a shocked & appreciative audience in the OTW Arena and led the crowd in an ON POINT chant. On Point Wrestling returns to live action on Saturday, December 3rd in Williamstown, NJ as we present "Masters of the Mat 2"!
