Like sharks drawn to a feeding frenzy, the OPW faithful packed the GCW Compound last Saturday in Blackwood, NJ as we officially kicked off deathmatch wrestling season in the northeast! To find out what happened, read on for results: As the show began, this year's tournament participants made their way to the ring. It was announced that Jeff Cannonball & Reed Bentley both had unexpected family emergencies that would prevent them from competing. "The Big Scare" Dan O'Hare & Brad Cash (thanks to an impressive showing in SOTS 2) filled in the vacant spots to round out this year's field of 12. Marc Angel defeated Lowlife Louie & Dan O'Hare in the Home Run Derby Match - All 3 men were swinging for the fences in an attempt to find themselves in the finals of this year's tournament. Bats...dildos...you name it were all being swung in the Compound. At one point, it looked as if the match was going to be stopped by GCW officials after O'Hare made a sickening landing on the floor. To the shock of everyone, Danny Demanto nailed Lowlife Louie in the head with a VCR & rolled him back in the ring...allowing Angel to get the pin. Post match, Demanto addressed Louie & the crowd regarding his actions, citing that he knew he was 1 of Louie's dream matches after coming back from injury & he knew Louie's clock was ticking. The challenge was issued for the next OPW event (details coming soon)...Lowlife Louie vs. Danny Demanto in a FANS BRING THE WEAPONS MATCH. Jimmy Lloyd defeated Brad Cash & Mike Roach in the Pallets of Pain Match - "Little Lobo" found himself as the fan favorite in this match. Pallets adorned with gusset plates & other implements of destruction were the weapons of choice in this bloody bout. Despite finding himself driven through a light tube covered pallet, Lloyd advanced to the finals & 1 step closer to this year's trophy. G-Raver defeated Rob Marsh & Devon Moore in the Carpet Strips & Cinder Blocks Match - Brutal isn't a strong enough word to describe what went down in this match. This is one that has to be seen to be believed. When the fans chant "NO MORE KIDS" as a result of a grown man taking a cinder block to his genitals...yeah. These guys went THAT far in their quest to advance. G-Raver emerged the survivor of this bout. John Wayne Murdoch defeated Drew Chaos & Aidan Blackheart in the Fans Bring the Weapons Match - Beds of forks, barbed wire boards, a barbed wire ironing board, Hell even a razor board were among the weapons the OPW faithful brought to the Compound for this match. Bodies hit the floor & fell from the ceiling of the Compound as all 3 men punished each other in their quest for ultraviolent glory. After the dust settled, Murdoch found himself advancing to the finals. After intermission, Pelle Primeau made his way to the ring & demanded competition on OPW's sickest show of the year. When the lights came back on in the Compound, the challenge was answered by the returning "Dirty Daddy" Chris Dickinson! Pelle brought the fight to the Dirty Daddy. The 2 brawled all around the Compound, destroying the merchandise table & putting a hole in a wall. Despite bringing the fight to the Dirty Daddy, Pelle found himself being powerbombed through a door & looking at the lights as Dickinson won his first match in OPW in over a year. After the match, Primeau grabbed the mic & said he's determined to make the OPW faithful love him before being assisted to the back. The OPW Championship was on the line as Drew Blood made his way to the ring to defend against Nick Gage. Before the bell rang, Devon Moore & Rob Marsh stormed the ringside area & attacked both men. This is OPW, & we strive to give the fans what they want, so when they demanded a Fatal Four Way, we gave it to them! The ring couldn't contain the action as the fight went all over & into the crowd. When it looked as if we were about to see a new champion, Drew Blood made his way back into the ring to steal the pin & retain the gold. Post match saw Nick Gage call out Blood, telling him he was a better wrestler than him & he would be a better champion. Blood retorted that they'd do it in a No Rope Barbed Wire Match in the future, citing he could be Gage in his world. More on this situation as it develops! G-Raver defeated Marc Angel, Jimmy Lloyd, & John Wayne Murdoch in the Hell from the Heavens Match - Barbed wire was wrapped around the ropes & light tube crosses, among other weapons, were placed in each corner of the ring. Hanging from the rafters was a WEED WACKER. The first man to grab the weed wacker would be able to use it in this elimination match. Another one that must be seen to be believed, we'll let you watch it for yourselves. Standing tall as the sole survivor & the 2018 Survival of the Sickest tournament winner...G-RAVER! This past weekend, OPW presented its second live event of the year as we returned to the GCW Compound in Blackwood, NJ. OPW "Turning Point" will be available soon from our friends at Smart Mark Video. But if you don't want to wait until it's released, you can read on below for results from the show! Xavier Cross defeated Sebastian Cage, Steve Scott, & Damien Smith in a Fantastic Four Way match. - It was a match mixing returns, debuts, & long time veterans of OPW. That experience proved pivotal in this match which was nothing short of an aerial battle between these 4. High flying...fast paced...everything you'd expect in our signature Fantastic Four Way match! KTB defeated Pelle Primeau. - Both men were looking to pick up their first win of 2018 in this match. On paper, you'd think Primeau would have no chance. But the former ROH star held his own against the beast & threw everything he had at him. Ultimately, KTB scored the win. Pinkie Sanchez defeated Danny Demanto. - These 2 are no strangers to each other, having had some legendary bouts elsewhere on the independent circuit. It was inevitable that the feud came to OPW. After taking time to insult our friends at GCW, Sanchez began to bring the fight to Demanto. The ring couldn't contain the action as the 2 brawled around the floor; even the fans got involved in chopping Sanchez at the request of Demanto. Shopping carts...doors...anything & everything these 2 could use against each other found its way into the match. The wily Sanchez picked up the win in a feud that is far from over. Unbreakable Andy defeated Jason Furious. - After impressing OPW Management in January with his debut, Jason Furious found himself facing off against the man he teamed with just 2 months ago. A win over 2017's Master of the Mat would come with some serious bragging rights for OPW's latest newcomer. Both men matched each other move for move. The experience of Unbreakable Andy wound up being the difference maker in this bout. Rob Marsh w/ Chad Epik defeated Lowlife Louie. - After nearly being retired during a match in 2016, Lowlife Louie made an emotional return to action in OPW for the 1st time in a year & half to face one of deathmatch wrestling's rising stars. The OPW faithful in attendance wanted blood & both men provided. Chairs, thumbtack bats, carpet strips, & lighttubes found their way to the ring during this ultraviolent encounter. In what could be considered an upset, Rob Marsh got the win against the 2016 Survival of the Sickest Tournament winner. After the match, Louie addressed his family & fans and told everyone in attendance that Marsh more than earned a spot in this year's tournament...prompting an irate Marc Angel to emerge from the back. After having enough of both men being berated by Angel, Jeff Cannonball stormed the ring to inform Angel that he would be facing Lowlife Louie & himself in the 1st round of this year's Survival of the Sickest! More information to be announced regarding SOTS 3! Drew Blood defeated Joey Janela to retain the OPW Championship. - Janela returned to OPW for the 1st time since September with one goal in mind; to become the 1st ever 2x OPW Champion. Blood was out to prove that after over a decade of fighting, he wasn't ready for his reign to come to an end just yet. The Era of Blood continues in OPW thanks to Blood surprising Janela with a pinfall out of nowhere. After the match, Blood gave Janela his due in a great show of respect. Janela began to return in kind only to tell the champ what he really thinks & stormed out of the ringside area. Nick Gage defeated Tony Deppen. - Prior to the match starting Deppen addressed Gage & the crowd, claiming that he was OPW's #1 guy & that he wasn't going to let someone who was locked up during the entire time he was on top come in and take that away from him. Deppen brought the fight to Gage, & didn't have to get ultraviolent to do it. There where times when it looked like Deppen would end Gage's nearly year long win streak in OPW, but one chokebreaker saw Deppen looking at the lights for the 3 count. Post match, Gage gave Deppen his due & proceeded to call out OPW Champion Drew Blood. The challenge was issued for SOTS 3...title on the line. Blood accepted, which saw things get more interesting as Deppen cited his right to a rematch for the title. As the crowd chanted "THREE WAY DANCE", Gage said to give the fans what they want. As of press time, the OPW Championship will be contested in a 3 Way Dance on 5/5 at SOTS 3 when Drew Blood defends against Nick Gage & Tony Deppen! After Blood & Deppen left the ring, Gage addressed the crowd again; thanking everyone who supports OPW & encouraged the fans in attendance to bring their friends to these underrated shows. He also said that OPW & GCW run Blackwood, if not all of southern NJ, and if anyone has a problem with it to step up. OPW returns to live action at the GCW Compound in Blackwood, NJ on Saturday, May 5th as we present "Survival of the Sickest 3"! Keep checking back for more information on our bloodiest show of the year! It was a bitterly cold night in the northeast, but the action was hot in Blackwood, NJ at the GCW Compound when we returned to action to present our 5 year anniversary event! The DVD will be available soon from Smart Mark Video. If you don't want to wait, read on for the results! Xavier Cross defeated Unbreakable Andy, Alex Payne, & Jason Furious in a Fantastic 4-Way - Loudy accompanied his client to the ring one last time, saying it was time he step away from managerial duties & focus his full efforts on running the company. This match was an all out aerial assault as each man looked to pick up their first win of 2018. Just when it looked as if the 2017 Master of the Mat was going to take it, Drake Chambers & Colin West made their way to ringside to distract Unbreakable Andy. Cross utilized this to his advantage & scored the pin. Post match saw Chambers assault Andy only for "2 Hott" Steve Scott to storm the ring. After helping Andy to his feet, he too began to assault the Master of the Mat! Cross returned to the ring to help fend off this new alliance. Drake Chambers w/Colin West defeated Pelle Primeau - Before the match began, West proceeded to insult everyone in attendance. From the company itself to the fans to the GCW Compound, nobody & nothing was safe from the ire of "The Professional Savage". Pelle had enough & ran to the ring to begin the match. While the contest was mostly even, it was ultimately Chambers who scored the win. Jeff Cannonball defeated Danny Demanto - The 2017 Survival of the Sickest Tournament winner returned to OPW to face the debuting Cold Hearted Playa in an extremely hard hitting match. Chairs & doors were he instruments of destruction both men used to bludgeon each other as the OPW faithful roared in approval. Cannonball scored the win after hitting a Death Valley Driver on Demanto through a door. Marc Angel defeated Jimmy Lloyd - Angel delivered his "State of OPW Address", citing that all of OPW's "Flavors of the Month" were gone & how he's been here through thick & thin for the company...only to be told there was nothing for him. Angel then held the show hostage until Jimmy Lloyd made his presence felt in the Compound. It looked like the rising star was going to score the upset, but the veteran emerged victorious. After the match ended, the lights went out; when they came back on, SHLAK attacked Angel by placing a plastic bag over his head. Angel was able to escape before any serious damage could be done. Teddy Hart defeated Tony Deppen - In a first time ever encounter that nearly blew the roof off of the GCW Compound, former OPW Champion & 2016 Master of the Mat squared off with Teddy Hart in what's certainly an early Match of the Year candidate. These two threw everything they had at each other & may have even invented some moves in the ring in an effort to best each other. While it was Hart who picked up the win, his approval of Tony Deppen after the match concluded reinforced what many believe...that Deppen is the man in OPW & our franchise player. Drew Blood defeated Kyle the Beast to retain the OPW Championship - After a lot of scathing trash talk from KTB earlier in the week towards the champion, Drew Blood was a man on a mission to prove he is the top guy & the measuring stick in OPW. And the decade plus veteran did just that by retaining the gold. Nick Gage defeated Scot Summers - It was the rematch 2 1/2 years in the making. The last time these 2 faced each other, time expired. Additional time was granted & also expired, thus ending in a draw. For 2 1/2 years, each wondered who was the better man. The question was answered last night in an absolutely vicious brawl that went all around the Compound & saw a variety of weapons used. This is definitely one you're going to want to watch when the DVD is released to see how Nick Gage picked up the win. From everyone involved at OPW, we want to thank everyone from the talent to the staff to GCW for welcoming us into their house & most importantly, YOU the fans for helping us to reach our 5th anniversary! Keep checking back here & all official OPW social media (facebook.com/OnPointWrestling, Twitter.com/OnPointWrestlin, & Instagram.com/OnPointWrestling) for news on our next live event! From the OPW family to yours, we wish you all a safe, healthy, & happy holiday season! See you in 2018! It was an emotional night this past Saturday in Williamstown, NJ when OPW returned to live action in front of the biggest crowd in our 4 year history! If you don't want to wait for the DVD, read on for the results!
Our evening began with tribute to our late friend & wrestling super fan, Kevin Hogan. During the dedication of the venue to him, OPW Management brought out ECW Original "The Franchise" Shane Douglas to help pay tribute to Hogan & some recently departed stars of the squared circle. Archadia w/Colin West defeated Gran Akuma - Akuma had threatened to cave in Archadia's chest earlier in the week & it looked as if that's exactly what was going to happen. Eventually, the pace of the match evened out as both men tried to best each other. The managerial prowess of Colin West paid off though & Archadia scored the win over the 2015 Master of the Mat. Kyle the Beast defeated Ryan Galeone w/Loudy - "The Financial Miracle" brought his newest client to face the man who destroyed Xavier Cross last month. After Loudy attempted to establish ground rules for the match, the OPW faithful solidly got behind KTB. Both men brought the fight to each other, but the Beast emerged victorious. Sean Carr defeated Devon Moore - After coming up short in the first round of the OPW Unlimited Title Tournament last month, Sean Carr returned to OPW to face the man who advanced. Both men utilized fast paced styles & took to the skies in their attempts to assert dominance. To the surprise of many in attendance, it was Carr who defeated the veteran. Jeff Cannonball defeated Jimmy Lyon - The bad blood had been building for over a year between these two & finally came to a head this past Saturday in a Last Man Standing Match. The animosity was at a point where the ring was no longer sufficient to contain Cannonball & Lyon as they brawled around the arena & a variety of weapons were utilized. A vicious powerbomb onto a shopping cart was enough to put Lyon down for the 10 count. Bill Avery & Qefka the Quiet defeated Alex Payne & Pelle Primeau w/Shane Hagadorn - It began as a Fans Bring the Muffins Match in the newly christened Kevin Hogan Memorial Hall between the brave one & the pro wrestling mime (check out the muffin toss at facebook.com/OnPointWrestling/videos/1423610354378284/). Bitter that they had been left off of the card, the trio assaulted Avery & Qefka and turned the contest into an impromptu tag team match. Hagadorn tried to keep both of his clients on the same page, but was ultimately unsuccessful as in-fighting led to Bill Avery scoring the pinfall for this team! Unbreakable Andy defeated Steve Scott, Drew Blood, & Drake Chambers - The road to crowning the 1st ever OPW Unlimited Champion later this year continued this past weekend as 4 more competitors looked to advance to the finals. The Fantastic 4-Way is a staple in OPW & these 4 men brought more than their A game in their quest for the gold. Ultimately, it was Unbreakable Andy who scored the win. Post match saw an attempt at sportsmanlike conduct & a challenge for 5/6 issued by Drew Blood. If Andy & Drake Chambers can defeat Notorious Inc, Blood will shake Andy's hand. Tony Deppen defeated Joey Janela - The richest prize in OPW was on the line as Tony Deppen defended his gold against the man he beat for it last December. Joey Janela unleashed an absolutely vicious side of himself rarely seen; berating Deppen on the mic, chopping him until his chest bled...even going so far as to duct tape Deppen to the ring ropes. Somehow, the champion willed himself to continue & dished out some offense of his own...even going so far as to tell the ring crew to take down the top rope. After both men fought to the outside, Deppen wrapped the top rope around Janela's neck & began climbing up one of the support beams in the arena with the challenger in tow. Janela was forced to say "I QUIT" or ultimately pass out. Matt Tremont defeated Marc Angel - 19 months of bad blood between "The Bulldozer" & Angel came to a head in this No Rope Barbed Wire Match...bad blood that was shed all over the canvas of the squared circle. Thunderous chair shots & screams of agony filled the arena as the OPW faithful looked on in awe. When it looked as if Angel was about to deliver a savage beating to Tremont after hog tying him, Angel's son once again found himself face to face with his father in the ring...buying Tremont time to escape. Angel's son then turned around & kicked Deathmatch Wrestling's Grand Slam Champion in the groin, tearing off his own Bulldozer shirt to reveal his father's shirt underneath. But it wasn't enough to keep Tremont grounded as he ultimately drove his foe through a barbed wire board. Post match saw Tremont pay his respects to Angel & say the issues have been settled. Father & son reunited in the ring as the OPW crowd chanted "THANK YOU BOTH" in appreciation for what they saw. OPW returns to live action on Saturday, May 6th as we present "Survival of the Sickest 2" in Williamstown, NJ at the Kevin Hogan Memorial Hall fka OTW Arena. "The Selfie Superstar" was looking to get back on the winning track in 2017 & did just that by defeating the returning Qefka the Quiet. The road to crowing the 1st ever OPW Unlimited Champion began with our signature Fantastic Four Way Match. Devon Moore emerged victorious over Gran Akuma, Archadia, & Sean Carr. After the match, Archadia assaulted 2015's Master of the Mat! In what's already being called a Match of the Year candidate, Jeff Cannonball defeated the debuting G-Raver in an absolutely brutal match featuring carpet strips & cinder blocks as the weapons of choice! And in case you missed it...announced earlier in the week due to popular demand...G-Raver will return to OPW on Saturday, May 6th for "Survival of the Sickest 2"! The violence continued when "The Bulldozer" faced Drew Blood in the first ever Devil's Bull Rope Match! In a traditional Bull Rope match, a cowbell is placed at the center of the rope for the participants to bludgeon each other with. We replaced the cowbell with a CHEESE GRATER. After bathing Williamstown red, Tremont picked up the win over his former friend. The celebration was short lived, however, when Jimmy Lyon & Marc Angel (thought to be retired from active competition here) stormed the ring and attacked the OPW Original. Jeff Cannonball stormed the ringside area & then things got really out of hand. Angel's son entered the ring to check on Tremont only to be SUPER KICKED by his own father! (Watch the footage at www.youtube.com/watch?v=lg8KIv-jlkQ). After the attack, Tremont laid the law. On March 4th, Jeff Cannonball will face Jimmy Lyon in a Last Man Standing Match while the Bulldozer will face Angel in a No Rope Barbed Wire Match! In another first time match, 2016's most hated...Xavier Cross...found himself facing Kyle the Beast after Loudy demanded competition for his beast of a client. To nobody's surprise, Loudy wrote a check Cross' body couldn't cash as the Beast destroyed "The Fabulous One". After the actions of Alex Payne, Pelle Primeau, & Shane Hagadorn last month, Drake Chambers & Unbreakable Andy got the redemption they were looking for by defeating the trio in tag team action. In the main event...Tony Deppen defended his newly won OPW Title against new challenger Lio Rush. In what's also been called another Match of the Year candidate, the champion emerged victorious over another one of professional wrestling's fast rising stars. From all of us at On Point Wrestling, THANK YOU for helping to make 4 years possible! We'll see you all back at the OTW Arena on Saturday, March 4th for "Blood, Guts, & Glory"! It was a night of upsets & shocks this past Saturday in Williamstown, NJ when OPW presented our final event of 2016. A streak ended, a new champion was crowned, & our 4th anniversary show began to take shape! If you can't wait for the DVD, read on for results! 1. Tony Deppen defeated "Too Hot" Steve Scott - It was last year at the 1st MOTM event that Tony Deppen made his OPW debut. From the opening bell, he proved he was on a mission to capture this year's trophy. While it appeared the veteran Scott had Deppen's number a couple of times, a fierce, quick offense from Deppen proved to be insurmountable. 2. Gran Akuma defeated Xavier Cross w/Loudy - Akuma entered this year's MOTM tournament the defending winner as well as boasting a year & a half long win streak on OPW live events. Looking ahead to 2017, Akuma systematically dismantled Cross throughout the contest. Despite Cross' cunning & Loudy's attempts at interference from the ringside area, it wasn't enough to defeat 2015's Master of the Mat. 3. Kyle the Beast defeated Archadia - The high flying Archadia entered MOTM with a game plan; utilizing a high flying offense to take down his adversary. Kyle the Beast, cutting some weight prior to the tournament, had this scouted. The agility & ferocity of the Beast, plus a shift of the crowd in his favor, proved to be successful as he advanced to the semi-finals of MOTM 2. 4. Unbreakable Andy defeated Alex Payne & Drake Chambers - MOTM 2 marked another anniversary in OPW. It was at last year's tournament that Unbreakable Andy debuted in On Point. Standing in the way of this year's trophy were newcomer Drake Chambers & veteran Alex Payne in the only 3 way bout in the tournament. Just as it looked as if Payne would advance to the semi-finals, his associates at ringside decided it would be a good time to present him with his jacket right before a potential pin fall. The mistake cost Payne dearly as Andy advanced in the tournament. After the match, frustration got the best of Payne as he & Pelle Primeau attacked Drake Chambers. Andy returned to the ring to stave off the attack. 5. Tony Deppen defeated Gran Akuma - If there's one constant in wrestling & any other sport, streaks are meant to be broken. In a rematch from last year's semi finals, Tony Deppen found himself facing off with Gran Akuma. Akuma's plan was simple; take out Deppen's legs. And it almost worked. But in the 1st of a couple shockers during the course of the evening, it was Akuma being pinned to the mat for the three count. 6. Unbreakable Andy defeated Kyle the Beast - The OPW faithful were split 50/50 on who they wanted to advance to the finals. In a hard hitting, faced paced match up, both men traded near falls on each other. Kyle the Beast's ferocity was almost enough to break OPW's unbreakable athlete. Despite taking a beating, Unbreakable Andy advanced to the finals...but not without cost and had to be treated backstage. 7. Notorious Inc. defeated the Weapons of Mass Destruction - After being treated to some of the best high flying & mat wrestling in the Masters of the Mat tournament, it was time to get violent in Williamstown. The ring wouldn't contain the action as all 4 men fought around the ringside area & briefly took the match outside on a cold New Jersey night. Chairs & even doors found their way to the ring as weapons. Just when it looked as the WMD's would pick up the win, a low blow from Drew Blood to Matt Tremont was enough to turn the tide in Notorious Inc's favor. After the match, the Bulldozer issued the challenge to Blood for January 7th at our 4 year anniversary show. 8. Tony Deppen defeated Unbreakable Andy to become the 2016 Master of the Mat - Both men have done battle in various promotions throughout the northeast & have found themselves facing each other numerous times in OPW...each having 2 wins over the other. Bruised & beaten, both men had their eyes on the 2016 Masters of the Mat trophy. Both men took their attacks to where each other knew they were the weakest; Andy to Deppen's legs & Deppen to Andy's head. The OPW faithful in attendance voiced their support for both men in a contest that could have gone either way. As badly as both men wanted the trophy & a title shot in January, Deppen appeared to want it a little bit more as he pinned his friend for the 3 count. As Deppen celebrated his win & paid respects to the Unbreakable One, Joey Janela entered the ring to offer his congratulations & inform the crowd that he would not be competing due to no challenger being found. In a move that shocked everyone, Deppen said he didn't want to wait until January. The bravado & perceived disrespect from Janela led to... 9. Tony Deppen defeated Joey Janela to become the NEW OPW Champion - After wrestling 3 matches earlier in the night, Deppen proclaimed he had another in him. Despite being tired & battered, the new Master of the Mat brought whatever fight he had left in him to the Bad Boy. When it looked as if Janela's reign would continue into 2017, everyone was shocked when Tony Deppen mustered whatever strength he had left to surprise Janela for the pin fall & become the new OPW Champion! An irate Janela claimed he had his shoulder up & tried to prove it to anyone who would listen. Footage of what transpired backstage & how it will affect January 7th will be available soon on OPWrestling.com. "Thank You, Louie" Results
The OPW faithful once again packed the OTW Arena in Williamstown, NJ as they have for every show this year. This time, it was about giving back to a man who has given so much of himself to the professional wrestling industry..."Lowlife" Louie Ramos. If you don't want to wait for the DVD, read on for full results! The Nigerian Nightmares hit the ring to start the event & show their respect for Louie. Their associate didn't take too kindly to it & questioned who Louie was and why he found himself at the show. The blatant disrespect was rewarded with a beating. Conor Claxton defeated Stockade. - In a match with "lenient" rules, "The Wrench" & "The Devil's Outlaw" brought the fight to each other in the opening contest. Despite Stockade having the weight & power advantage, Claxton pulled out the win. Qefka the Quiet defeated Bill Avery w/Colin West. - OPW's resident mime had his work cut out for him facing a man who was seemingly afraid of everything...even a fan in the 3rd row. Even with the assistance of his motivator and even Qefka's help, Avery found himself looking at the lights for the 3 count. "The Greek God" Papadon defeated "Too Hot" Steve Scott. - Scott came into this match looking to have some fun while Papadon wanted to deliver a beating. An evenly paced contest, Papadon found himself becoming frustrated by Scott's repeated use of an iPhone & selfies. When it looked as if "The Selfie Superstar" was going to pick up the win, Papadon reversed the pin & scored the victory with assistance from a rope grab. "Lowlife" Louie Ramos wins the Battle Royal. - The afternoon's battle royal came down to Missy Sampson & "PrymeTyme" Amy Lee as the final 2 participants. Both women called Louie into the ring & paid their respects to him. In that gesture, they eliminated themselves by leaving Louie as the last person in the ring. DJ Hyde, Magic, & Jimmy Lloyd defeated Jimmy Lyon, Kyle the Beast, & Brandon Kirk. - This 6 man tag had some of the hardest hitting action of the afternoon courtesy of "The Lariat God" & the Beast as well as some of the craziest moves thanks to Jimmy Lloyd & Brandon Kirk. Despite numerous attempts to throw Hyde off of his game, Jimmy Lyon ultimately wound up eating a thunderous lariat as Hyde's team picked up the win. "Macho Man" Joe Gacy defeated Monsta Mack. - "The Chainsaw" was in the Halloween spirit at the show with his homage to the late, great Randy Savage. Mack got in on the fun when both men recreated the Mega Powers handshake. After that, it was game on as each attempted to get the advantage over the other. Gacy saw an opportunity by taking Mack's arm out of the equation. The tactic proved to be successful as Gacy defeated the veteran. Post match, Mack called Gacy the future of our business. Gacy told Mack that he wants him again in the future. New Jack defeated Matt Tremont & Jeff Cannonball in an Extreme Weapons Match. - OPW's weapons of mass destruction started off the match with a series of vicious blows & headbutts to each other. Out of nowhere, "Natural Bork Killaz" blared throughout the OTW Arena as "The Original Gangsta" made his way to the ring with a garbage can full of weapons in tow. Fresh out of the hospital, New Jack didn't miss a beat as the match spilled out of the ring all around the OTW Arena...giving the packed crowd in the arena a taste of extreme nostalgia. New Jack proved he's still got it after cracking Cannonball in the skull with a STOP sign from the 2nd rope. Post match saw New Jack address the crowd telling them that despite his hospitalization & lost bookings, the benefit for Louie was one show he wouldn't miss no matter what. B-Boy defeated Tony Deppen. - It was West Coast vs. East Coast as "The New Age Punisher" faced 1 of the hottest unsigned talents & OPW fan favorite in the main event. Both men took their battle to the skies & the canvas in what could have easily been a finals for "Masters of the Mat". B-Boy's experience proved to be too much for Deppen as he picked up the win. After the show ended, the locker room returned to the ringside area in support of Louie. Thanks to YOU, the OPW fans, $1,100 was raised between ticket sales & the raffle for Louie and his family. From the Ramos family & everyone here at OPW, THANK YOU. You are the greatest wrestling fans going! Janela vs. Riddle Signed for 12/3! "A Beautiful Day 2 Die" Results:
Fresh off the carnage from July's deathmatch tournament, On Point Wrestling returned to a rowdy, packed house at the OTW Arena & delivered the best professional wrestling you'll see in southern New Jersey! For those of you not in attendance, here are the results: Unbreakable Andy defeated Drake Chambers - Chambers returned to OPW to make a statement. While he did not emerge victorious, Chambers took the unbreakable athlete to his limit. The impressive performance earned a standing ovation from the OPW faithful as well as a reward which was announced later in the evening. Fantastic 4 Way: Alex Payne defeated Devon Moore, Conor Claxton, & Pelle Primeau - With the bar set during the opening contest, all 4 men found a way to raise it! High flying, hard hitting insanity that couldn't be contained within the ring as the participants found themselves on the floor & in the 2nd row! Alex Payne's momentum continued as he picked up the win after a brainbuster to Claxton. Gran Akuma defeated Vinny Marseglia - These two kept their war confined to the mat. Marseglia came to On Point with the intention of being the first man to hand the undefeated Akuma his first loss. After putting on a technical wrestling clinic, the Master of the Mat tapped out the debuting Marseglia. Falls Count Anywhere: The Weapons of Mass Destruction defeated Jimmy Lyon & Marc Angel - The building couldn't contain the bad blood between these 2 teams as their brawl found them in the parking lot...even using the parked vehicles as weapons! BBQ forks, chairs, wooden boards...everything just short of the kitchen sink was used as both teams sought to end this nearly year long feud. The end came when the Bulldozer delivered a thunderous Death Valley Driver onto Lyon through a board onto a pile of steel chairs. Open Challenge: Xavier Cross w/Loudy defeated Clay Drasher & Jimmy Lloyd - The Flamboyant One's bravado was on full display once again with another open challenge to anyone in wrestling. Clay Drasher emerged from the locker room ready to do battle. Before the bell could ring, both men were joined by Jimmy Lloyd, turning this singles match into a three way dance. Lots of back & forth action which say the rookie Lloyd almost score the upset. The wily veteran, Cross, however emerged victorious. Kyle the Beast defeated "2 Hot" Steve Scott - After impressing both management & the fans alike in July as part of a Fantastic 4 Way, OPW officials decided to place the Beast & the Selfie Superstar in a singles match with each other. High flying & quickness was almost enough to overpower the Beast in what could be described as a David vs. Goliath tale...but Scott found himself tapping out to a devastating single leg crab that left many wondering how a human being could bend in such a fashion. Tony Deppen defeated Archadia - Two of the best high flyers in the game today faced off for the first time as Archadia made his debut against 1 of the most popular stars on the OPW roster. Bragging rights were on the line as both men attempted to outdo each other with impressive offenses. Despite some very close pins by Archadia, Tony Deppen found his hand raised in victory. OPW Championship: Joey Janela (C) defeated Drew Blood - A year plus long quest finally came to fruition as Drew Blood finally received his 1st shot at OPW's top prize. With the champion coming off of an injury that had him sidelined most of the summer, there were many who wondered if Janela was ready for the veteran. Any doubt was quickly silenced as both men took each other past their limits for the right to be called Champion. As much as Blood wanted the gold, Janela wanted it that much more as he tapped out one of OPW's founding fathers. After the match, a frustrated Blood told Janela to carry himself like a champion & respect himself before finally shaking his hand. 1st Time Ever Deathmatch: MASADA defeated Lowlife Louie - It was a match that had independent wrestling fans everywhere buzzing since it was announced in July. For the first time ever, Lowlife Louie & MASADA would face each other. After a mutual show of respect before the opening bell, it was game on. Two of the toughest men going today took their fight into the crowd, destroyed the concession stand, & found themselves outside of the OTW Arena before finally combating each other in the ring. A shot to the head from a fan sliced Louie's head open. Seizing the opportunity, the Ultraviolent Beast pulled out his trademark BBQ skewers & jammed them into the open wound. The crowd looked on in horror as the referee made the count to 10 & awarded the contest to Masada via a TKO. After the match, the International Deathmatch Superstar paid his respects to Louie in front of a shocked & appreciative audience in the OTW Arena and led the crowd in an ON POINT chant. On Point Wrestling returns to live action on Saturday, December 3rd in Williamstown, NJ as we present "Masters of the Mat 2"!
