"If you had one shot...or one opportunity...to seize everything you ever wanted...in one moment...would you capture it? Or just let it slip?" - Eminem
3 1/2 years...19 live events to date...this is a brief summation of On Point Wreslting's history. In all of those shows, you'll notice many names have come & gone through OPW. One of those names has been synonimous with On Point since its inception in January 2013...Philadelphia's own notorious Drew Blood. For those unfamiliar with this veteran of the squared circle, this retrospective will familiarize you with some of Blood's On Point career & his upcoming challenge for the OPW Title this Saturday, September 24th. For a good portion of his On Point tenure, Blood found himself allied with the Firm. Tagging with Xavier Cross as the HEW (Highly Entertaining Wrestlers) under the employ of "The Financial Miracle" Loudy, the Firm ran roughshod over all opposition. When On Point officials decided to introduce a championship into the company in 2014, Blood found himself with an opportunity to add to his list of accolades by competing in the title tournament. Unfortunately for Blood, he was reminded the hard way that sooner or later, everyone faces some form of betrayal in wrestling. That betrayal came from his cohorts in the Firm. With 2015 starting on a sour note after having been eliminated from the tournament due to his former friends, the year got progressively worse for Blood when he lost a match at "A Different Kind of Pain". The stipulation? Blood could not challenge for the OPW Title for a calendar year if his team didn't emerge victorious. Every time it seemed the momentum in the war could turn in favor of the notorious one, the Firm was one step ahead. A new year brings new opportunities. This year, the tide of the war turned when Blood opted to put it all on the line in the confines of a Barbed Wire Cage against Cross at "Nowhere 2 Run". Emerging victorious, Blood wanted to prove to everyone that he would do whatever was necessary in On Point to rise to the top. As if the shock of Blood entering "Survival of the Sickest" wasn't enough, many agreed it was Blood who scored the upset of the night by defeating deathmatch legend Danny Havoc in their opening round match. While he may not have won the tournament, the message sent to On Point officials was crystal clear. This Saturday, September 24th...after a nearly 2 year long chase...Drew Blood will finally receive his first shot at the On Point Wrestling Championship. Will an era of Blood begin...or will the reign of "The Bad Boy" Joey Janela continue into December? Make sure you're in attendance for "A Beautiful Day 2 Die" at the OTW Arena in Williamstown, NJ this Saturday, September 24th to find out!
